Welcome to ACE

We are a group of keen, amateur film makers who use video cameras as the basis of our craft. Our group contains members of all skill levels, from basic beginners, to advanced semi-professional.

Our goal is to work together and benefit from each other's skills, experience and creativity to ensure everyone gets the maximum enjoyment from their film-making.

Scripts and voice-overs

Our last meeting was a workshop where club members viewed a short minute film about Avebury stone circle and then in three groups wrote short scripts and added these as a voice-over to the film. The voice-overs were then played back with the film and showed the different approaches taken by each group, from serious to humorous, and how these all effectively made the film much more interesting to watch. The photos below are from this club meeting.

Many of our members had never made a film before joining us and have since become very exciting film makers. We do have some lady members but more would be most welcome.

Our evenings consist of all aspects of video/film making and other clubs are visited and call in on us too, we have lectures and hands on evenings. But the main thing we have is fun, because that is what a hobby should be in our opinion.

Our small annual charge of £20 works out to be less that £2.00 per evening and includes a regular newsletter.

Why not just come to one of our meetings and see us?
