Welcome to ACE

We are a group of keen, amateur film makers who use video cameras as the basis of our craft.

Our group contains members of all skill levels, from basic beginners, to advanced semi-professional.

Our goal is to work together and benefit from each other's skills, experience and creativity to ensure everyone gets the maximum enjoyment from their film-making.

Club day out and picnic at Stowe Landscape Gardens on Saturday 5 June

Photo of Palladian Bridge at Stowe Landscape Gardens

The club had a great day out at the National Trust Stowe Landscape Gardens near Buckingham.

The weather was vey good, pleasantly warm and sunny. We enjoyed walking round the extensive gardens.

Much video filming was done and this will be edited into individual films to shown at a club meeting later this year.

The  photo shows the Palladian Bridge and we had our picnic in sight of this feature.

Thanks to Norma for the photo.

Join us at an ACE meeting

Many of our members had never made a film before joining us and have since become very exciting film makers.

Our evenings consist of all aspects of video/film making and other clubs are visited and call in on us too, we have lectures and hands on evenings.

But the main thing we have is fun, because that is what a hobby should be in our opinion

Our small annual charge of £20 works out to be less that £2.00 per evening.

Why not just come to one of our meetings and see us?

Details of club meetings (every 3rd Thursday each month) see our Events calendar

We meet at Stoke Mandeville Community Centre - full address, map and contact details

This was a very well attended and extremely interesting meeting.

AKM Music do not usually visit film making clubs as they are the UK’s number one producer of high quality Copyright Free Music / Royalty Free Music.

They showed a number of short films that had been made in which AKM music had been used. These films ranged through drama, horror, travel, documentary and humour, showing the versatility of how background music can be used and the vast range of tracks available from AKM.

Their music is now constantly used on ITV Network, Channel 4, Channel 5, SKY and satellite TV broadcasts worldwide.
With no need for an MCPS licence AKM Copyright Free Music / Royalty Free Music can be used and re-used on as many productions as you like.

This was a superb evening, enjoyed by everybody who attended and the club would like to thank AKM for making this such a success.
