We have a very varied programme with a lot of extra activies as well as our usual monthly meetings. We are sure there will be something of interest for everyone !
CONGRATULATIONS!
Didn't we do well - 2nd at Bucks County Show!
Ashendon WI entered the Bucks County Show "Celebration" Competition. This was a co-operative competition so it had to be the work of at least 3 members. The exhibit had to include 2 pieces of craft: a cushion & bookmark; 2 cookery items: 5 biscuits & a cake( we decorated ours ); a floral arrangement and a jar of preserve. Carol & Jan, two of our craft committee members, had to get up at the crack of dawn to get to the show ground to set up our exhibit.
A big thank you to our craft committee for such a fantastic exhibit.
2nd out of 12 is not bad!!!
BFWI 90th Birthday Celebration at Stowe Gardens
On 10th August Ashendon WI members went to Stowe gardens to celebrate BFWIs 90th Birthday. Members had been very busy and produced a fantastic picnic lunch. Everyone had a fun time despite the rather wet weather!

ASHENDON TAKES THE WI TRI CHALLENGE!
Ashendon WI is taking part in the WI TRI which finishes on 30th September. Members have to cycle 20 miles, walk or run 50 miles & swim 5 miles and as many members as possible can be involved in this challenge.
To bring the challenge to an end members are asked to arrive early for the next meeting on 8th September so that we can take a very short walk round the village & take a group photo to submit with our entry. We will congregate at the church at 7.15pm.
Thanks Ladies!
