0 Gauge Layouts

The Club have 2 O gauge layouts.

Permanent Layout.

This has been designed to provide terminus to terminus running with the capability of it being able to be used as a test-track.

Currently this layout is being rewired and cannot be run to its full potential as the final terminus needs completing. The test-track capability can be used with trains running on 2 of the tracks.

Exhibition Layout.

This layout is currently under construction and is an end-to-end system 24ft long and 2ft 6ins wide. The base-boards are completed and the task of track laying is about to start.

There is no emphasis on any particular railway company. Currently locomotives seen on the permanent layout have been of the Great Central Railway, Great Western Railway, Lancashire & Yorkshire Railway and the more modern image of diesels etc.
