Holtspur Bank Nature Reserve

 The Nature Reserve is accessible from footpath 33 off Holtspur Top Lane, opposite junction with Cherry Tree Road or from Ridings Lane. It is owned by the Town Council, maintained and managed by ‘Friends of Holtspur Bank’.

Many species of orchids can be seen together with almost half of the recorded species of butterfly found in England.

Walkwood is accessible from paths off Grove Road, Tilsworth Road

 and Walkwood Rise.

This is an ancient broad-leaved wood owned by the Town Council.
