The Parish Council includes the wards of Bledlow, Saunderton and Bledlow Ridge
Bledlow-cum-Saunderton is a large rural parish in the north-western corner of Wycombe District Council's area, and includes the villages of Bledlow, Bledlow Ridge and part of Saunderton. The Parish has lower-lying land to the north, some of which is liable to flood.
The southern part of the Parish is within the Chilterns Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (30% or 808 hectares) and the Green Belt (47% or 1281 hectares). The central area of the Parish is particularly rich in ancient history, with 14 Scheduled Ancient Monuments. The Chinnor and Princes Risborough Railway (steam and diesel) passes through Bledlow village from its base in Chinnor.
In addition to an extensive network of public rights of way, the Ridgeway long-distance footpath, and the Thame to Princes Risborough Cycle Route (the Phoenix Trail) cross the Parish. There are also several areas of open country, including a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) at Lodge Hill in the centre of the Parish, and small areas of registered common land, five of which are ponds on Bledlow Ridge.
There is a County primary school in Bledlow Ridge, and two village halls, one in Bledlow, the other in Bledlow Ridge, both of which are available for hire. Both Bledlow and Bledlow Ridge have a children's playground, and a cricket club. There is also a tennis club in Bledlow Ridge.
Each of the Parish wards has a church: Holy Trinity in Bledlow, St. Paul's in Bledlow Ridge, and St. Mary and St. Nicholas in Saunderton.
There are three pubs: The Lions at Bledlow, The Rose & Crown and Golden Cross in Saunderton, all of which also serve food..
Two community newsletters are published in the Parish: The Parish Messenger, distributed monthly to all households in Bledlow and Saunderton (Editor, Ann Beaton), and Contact also distributed monthly to all households in Bledlow Ridge (Editor, Claire Shann).
Chiltern Railways runs a regular service between London, Marylebone and Birmingham. Trains stop principally at Princes Risborough and also at Saunderton.
