Report of Last Meeting
The last meeting of the Parish Council was in Bledlow Ridge Village Hall on Thursday, 2nd February 2012
Planning Applications Considered by the Parish Council
11/07957/FUL Corham, Ridgeway Meads, Bledlow
Creation of dropped kerb and hardstanding to create vehicular access to Chinnor Road
Applicant: Mr. & Mrs. M. Sanchez
Resolved: Objection. Potentially dangerous access on to B4009 and if allowed would create precedent for remaining properties in this development.
12/05069/CLP Longwood Cottage, Lee Road, Saunderton
Certificate of proposed lawfulness for the construction of a two-storey front extension to adjoin an original wall of the front elevation
Applicant: Mr. & Mrs. B. Needham
Resolved: It would seem that current planning law as defined by the Town and Country Planning Act allows the addition of any extension or other building provided that the total footprint of all the buildings does not exceed 50% of the property curtilage. The Parish Council is far from happy with this position, which appears to conflict with WDC's local rule of 50% of the existing building's fooprint. WDC is to be asked to have a planning officer attend the next meeting to better explain the legal position.

Children’s Home
With there being no planned start on redeveloping the site, and in view of the continuing deterioration of the listed building, the Parish Council is to write to WDC, the listing authority, to ask for their intervention and enforce action to prevent further damage.
Saunderton Station Parking and Train Services
A letter was sent by the Parish Council to Mr. Brighouse, the Managing Director of Chiltern Railways to make a plea not to reduce peak time services from and back to Saunderton. Mr. Brighouse's reply made it clear that Chiltern Railways is mindful of the controversial parking in Saunderton Vale and considers that commuters have been drawn from further afiled to take advantage of the free parking. He is therefore minded to reduce the service to one an hour, and to have passengers use the improved parking at High Wycombe for example.
Road Maintenance
The upper section of Haw Lane is to be resurfaced on 29th and 30th March, with traffic being temporarily diverted around Chinnor Road in Bledlow Ridge, Wigans Lane, Upper Icknield Way and Lee Road. There is still no news from BCC about traffic calming measures for the rest of the parish, nor of when Chinnor Road and Wigans Lane are to be resurfaced.
Bledlow Ridge Village Hall
The Parish Council has paid the bill for refurbishing the ladies' toilets at the Village Hall, as agreed last February.
Next Meeting
The next meeting of the Parish Council will be held in Bledlow Village Hall at 7.30pm on Thursday, 1st March 2012.
