Terms of Reference

Compact Steering Group 

  1. Steer continuous effective development of the Bucks Compact;
  2. Monitor progress of the Bucks Compact, including logging successes and breaches;
  3. Check how the LSPs, voluntary and statutory sector partners and partnerships use and comply with the Bucks Compact and address any issues arising;
  4. Facilitate Compact-proofing of new and existing initiatives, processes and policy developments;
  5. Oversee Compact processes, agree and monitor the action plan, issue the annual report, run any review events, prepare for external audits;
  6. Effectively promote the Compact and its Codes of Practice to all stakeholders.

Standing Agenda Items

Every Meeting (6 weeks)

  • Progress against agreed actions
  • Agreed actions for next meeting
  • Key points from sub groups
  • Notification of any disputes or complaints

Quarterly Review (RAG process)

  • Review action plan and identify new tasks as required
  • Identify and publicise examples of good practice

Annual Review

  • Evaluate both sector’s achievements and progress of work and review criteria for evaluating their success each year
  • Record of disputes and complaints as part of its monitoring process
  • Review membership of the Compact Steering group and look at setting up any other groups that are needed

Decision Making Process

Where matters are unable to be resolved internally by the Compact Steering Group they will be referred to the Bucks Strategic Partnership and / or the appropriate Local Strategic Partnership in the case of locally specific issues.

Meeting Frequency

The Compact Steering Group will meet every six weeks throughout the year.
