Chiltern and South Bucks Dial-A-Ride

 

What is Dial-A-Ride?

 

We are a non-profit making local charity which provides door to door social transport for people of all ages living within Chiltern or South Bucks Districts, who are unable to use or even access public transport.

 

When can I use it?

 

The service operates on Monday to Friday from 9.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m.

 

Sorry, but we do not provide a service in the evenings, weekends, bank holidays or over Christmas

 

Where can I go?

 

Our minibuses will pick you up at your door and take you to your destination almost anywhere within either of the two districts. You can use the service for shopping, visits to the doctor/dentist/optician, attendance at day centres and lunch clubs or just visiting friends and other social activities.

 

What does it cost?

 

There is a small annual membership fee, details upon request, and a fare is charged for each journey you make. Escorts will be asked to pay the same fare.

All assistance dogs are carried free.

 

How do I book a ride?

The telephone is manned between 8.00 a.m. and 1.00 p.m. Monday to Friday and we have an answering machine taking your calls at all other times.

Because we need to plan our routes well in advance you need to call us a minimum of 48 hours if possible before your planned trip.

 

How do I apply?

 

Telephone the office and request a membership form, which, once completed, should be returned with the membership fee. All information provided will remain confidential.
