We hold monthly indoor meetings (except for August), usually in the form of a slide lecture from an expert. The meetings also give the opportunity for exchanges of information about local flora and fauna, or the environment.
Field meetings are also monthly (not August), which are in the form of walks, often noting or surveying species seen.
Coach trips are organised on an occasional basis and are announced well in advance at indoor meetings.
Records of local natural history are kept and sent to the appropriate record centre. A Bulletin, including much of this information and reports of indoor and field meetings, is published irregularly, about every 9 - 12 months.
Our membership year runs from May to April and is currently £10 p.a. but visitors are always welcome. There is a small charge of £2 for the indoor meeting, but field meetings are free, although donations to drivers of the car-sharing scheme are welcome.
