About Us

Downley Wine and Beer Club was founded 30 years ago by Downley residents who made and brewed their own Beers and Wines.  Over the years members were joined by others who were more interested in tasting and learning about different drinks and today we have a healthy mix of makers and imbibers.

Our members today number around 35 and range in ages from 30 somethings to 70 somethings!  We regard our club as a place for making new friends who just happen to share a common interest in tasting wine, beer, liqueurs and other specialist drinks including cider, fruit beers, organic wines, ports and sherries.

You don't need to be an expert to come and join or visit our meetings - our evenings focus on trying and enjoying new things, as well as learning.

We meet on the second Wednesday of the month from 8pm to 10.30pm at the Downley Old School Community Centre, School Close, Downley.  Click here to see a map of our venue.
