Membership

Membership currently costs £10 per year.  Meetings cost between £4 and £7 depending on what is being tasted and covers the cost of the snacks, the drink samples served, and, where relevant, the speaker expenses.

Visitors are welcome to any of our meetings - please just let the secretary know beforehand if possible so that we can make sure we have catered sufficiently.  Email the secretary. The cost for visitors is £2 in addition to the meeting cost.

Downley Wine and Beer Circle are a friendly bunch.  We typically have 25 - 30 attendees each month.  Most of our members are within staggering distance of our meeting venue but we have several who travel in from further afield.  Our age range is from mid 30s to mid 70s and we range from complete beginners to wine and beer appreciation, through beginner home brewers to more experienced appreciators and makers.  You are unlikely to find any 'precious' connoisseurs at our meetings though!
