The Hughenden Valley Residents Association official website went online in 2000 covering community topics like:-
- village issues
- events and alerts
- a news round up
- clubs and activities
- schools
The objective of what we're doing is:-
- to get the village on the map in Internet terms
- to improve communication within the community
- to keep in touch with neighbours and friends who have moved away
- to increase the reach of editorial work done for the HVRA newsletter, Hughenden News.
The frequency of major updates to the editorial content is expected to be in syncronisation with the HVRA newsletter, i.e. several times a year, though there may be occasional interim news items also. In the interests of resident's privacy and security names, addreseses and phone numbers are not included in the Internet content unless the person has agreed. Even then an email address is considered the safer option as well as more convenient for an online visitor to use. Editorial for football section is separate and information is updated frequently.

So if you are involved in organising anything around the village or you are a commercial advertiser you can now get your message over the web as well as in the newsletter. There is an online form on the website so visitors can submit text directly to the HV editor's email address, but you can also submit editorial and adverts through your normal contacts in the Residents Association as well.
