Residents Association AGM

Report of the AGM held at the Village Hall at

8pm Tuesday 1st July 2008

This is not a full report - you will have to wait for the Quarterly Magazine for that! However, some points are worth a mention, so here goes....

the Chairman thanked many people who contribute to the smooth running of the village. This was echoed by Councillor Richard Pusshman, who rated Hughenden Valley as one of the best communities in the area.

Paul then listed a number of activities and events that had occurred during the previous 12 months. Most of these are well known to readers of this site, so I'll not bore you with repetition.

The Treasurer's report showed that we are in a healthy balance and the meeting voted to set the subscription rate at £5 pa per household.

The presentation by Heather Couper CBE, the well-known astronomer, was fascinating and transferred the passion she had for astronomy to the audience as she told us of her career in astronomy.

Wine and cheese followed.
