Piggot's Wood

Piggot's Wood is officially a semi-natural woodland and a local wildlife site. Unofficially it is a peaceful place that is home to a variety of wildlife, including muntjack deer. It is a typical Chiltern hill, covered in beech trees to protect the vulnerable soil at the top of a chalk hill.

I hope that these pictures give a flavour of what it is like approaching the wood and being inside it.
