National Association of Wine&Beer Makers
-
The primary activity of the ‘National Association of Wine and Beermakers’, or NAWB, is to stage the world’s premier Annual show for the hobby. The ‘National’ is normally held at the end of March or early April. It is a two-day show with the AGM and Conference held on the same weekend. There is an interesting page on the history of our hobby (the making of wine and beer rather than the drinking side, at least), and I remember how in the days when it was not legal to brew your own beer how many country people did it anyway, but kept quiet about it - you could hardly have a club for beermaking in those days!

Uxbridge Wine Society
-
This is not so much a wine makers' society, as a wine tasting society. I went to a talk given by one of their members at Downley Wine Makers Club, on what chocolate goes with which wine, which was very interesting.
