The New Parish

On 1st April 2007 two parishes were created from the former Great Marlow Parish - a new Marlow Bottom Parish and a smaller Great Marlow Parish. The population of Marlow Bottom in the 2001 census was 3295. 

It is situated on the outskirts of Marlow Town and close to the larger town of High Wycombe. All of the Parish is within the Chilterns AONB with 51% in the Green Belt.  A map of Marlow Bottom can be found at: http://g.co/maps/d6mnn.  Marlow Bottom Parish includes the rural settlement of Marlow Bottom and the immediately surrounding fields and woods. The village centre includes a post office, general store, butchers, newsagent, fish and chip shop, chemist, veterinary clinic and other shopping facilities. It has two churches, a highly regarded infant/junior school and a playing field with a children's play area about to be upgraded with £60,000 worth of new equipment. There is a community hall and club. At the entrance to the Valley is Rebellion Brewery. There is also a small commercial industrial estate.
