Mind The Gap
Supporting people with mental health rehabilitation and social isolation.
We are a non profit service user group, set up by two people who have been through the mental health services.
We started this because we experienced a lack of support from the services as we began to recover.
The services are generally aimed at getting you functioning, but when they deem you too well to require their help, they discharge you.
Often you still require a level of support which is unavailable to you without a referral from the mental health services, thus many people struggle to regain their independence and become isolated, usually they end up becoming unwell again.
