Additional Information

RACA seeks ways to meet the aspirations of the people of the Risboroughs and adjacent parishes, their values and challenges and the trends that map them. Following a Market Town Health check in 2005, RACA completed a £90,000 Visitor Project in 2008 and participated in the Risborough 2035 and other studies which provide a framework for the future development of the area. Further consultation with individuals and local organisations produced a current work programme which aims to provide additional interests and opportunities for participation by residents and visitors alike. These include a Walking Festival, the Kop Hill Climb, a Community Bus and the Town Centre Project. The chairperson of each project group sit with other community representatives on a steering group that facilitates, coordinates and undertakes the funding of projects developed by the project groups. Details of Risborough Area Community Action and its current work programme are available at the Area Information Office and the Library in Princes Risborough. If you, or your organisation, would like to be involved in an action group please contact RACA's chairperson via the Area Inforamtion Office or this website.
