What We Can Do About Drink Driving

• Thames Valley Police regularly checks drivers through breathalyser or blood tests if they suspect they have been drinking alcohol. • The emergency services, including police, ambulance and fire also have to deal with the consequences of drink driving, including fatal and serious injury collisions. Did you know the cost of dealing with a fatal collision is £1.3m? 

• Buckinghamshire County Council's Road Safety team educate, train and publicise road safety to help reduce casualties on Buckinghamshire's roads. We promote campaigns such as "DES" around Christmas and summer, which encourages people to enjoy their night out by appointing a designated driver to get them home safely.
