What We Can Do About Underage Drinking

- Anyone underage caught drinking alcohol will have it confiscated by PCSOs.
- Trading Standards, part of Buckinghamshire County Council:
- offer a proof of age card to every 16 year old in the County to enable shopkeepers to ask for proof of age.
encourage shopkeepers to ask for proof of age with the confidence that one is available.
- make covert test purchases using under age volunteers. Shopkeepers and licensees who sell face a fine of up to £1,000.
- work with PCSOs , ABOs and other police officers to detect under age sales, particularly in areas where anti-social behaviour has been reported
