After several months without a Post Box a new one has finally been installed at Terriers Cross Roads. The new box is round the corner from the the old one and is outside the entrance to the new homes on Milton Place. We say this is a new box but look more closely and you will note the letters 'GR' for King George indicating this Post Box is over 50 years old! The latest post time on weekdays is at 4.45pm.
Windsor Drive residents in battle against path
Residents of Windsor Drive recently came home to find a notice attached to a street lamp informing them of an application for a modification order. The order refers to a path that leads through the private estate grounds to a secondary exit onto Sheraton Drive. The application was made by a Sheraton Drive resident and was dated 23rd March 2010.

New Police Comander for High Wycombe
Supt Gilbert Houalla has taken command of the Wycombe Police Area and will be based at the Police Station in Queen Victoria Road. He is of French Lebanese decent and was born in Toulouse in France and has been with Thames Valley Police since 1990 starting as a constable in Aylesbury. Over the years he has held posts including head of the force's Special Branch and was in the counter terrorist unit for the south east where he oversaw covert operations.
Supt Houalla has a simple approach to policing: Prevent it in the first place and if you can't you had better catch those who did it. Outside of policing his passion is for Rugby. (07-04-10)
