What is a bookmark or anchor?

A bookmark or anchor when placed in a page will act as a link to take you to another part of that page. For example, if you have a long page of information you may wish to put anchor links in to make the reader aware there are a specific items further down the page.

Adding a bookmark/anchor to a webpage 

Log in to your site and go to the page you wish the anchor(s) to be in.

Place your cursor where you want the anchor to be then click the anchor button .

A box will pop up where you will need to give the anchor a name make sure it is one that you will remember.

Then go to the point in your document that you want to link from hightlight the word and then click the link button.

The links box will pop up. In the link URL field add a # and the name of the anchor, without a space between them.

Save the page and preview or Save and Publish.
