The Buckinghamshire & Milton Keynes Biodiversity Partnership consists of local authorities, statutory bodies and charities, all working together to manage wildlife sites and deliver projects benefitting wildlife in Buckinghamshire and Milton Keynes.
The Partnership has 2 main aims
A. To manage and deliver the Biodiversity Action Plan for Buckinghamshire and Milton Keynes.
In developing this work we have identified the key areas for biodiversity in the county. These are called Biodiversity Opportunity Areas
B. To survey and designate Local Wildlife Sites in Buckinghamshire and Milton Keynes
Additionally we have been running workshops for County, District and Parish Councils demonstrating their responsibilities under the Natural Environment & Rural Communities Act 2006 Biodiversity Duty.
